WSPS Press Release 25/05/04
WSPS, the UK’s largest search engine marketing company, has today announced the appointment of Jim Brigden as chief operating officer. Former sales director at Overture Northern Europe, Brigden is set to head-up and develop the sales function at WSPS. Having built Overture Europe’s sales force from a European start-up into a huge multi-million pound Internet search business, Brigden helped launch its services in six European countries and plans to replicate his success at WSPS.
“I’m very excited to be joining WSPS at what is undoubtedly an evolutionary time in the search marketing industry. After working alongside WSPS for nearly four years I am really looking forward to joining an excellent team with the best technology available, reflected by an impressive client base,” said Jim Brigden.
Prior to joining Overture, Brigden was sales and marketing director at Image100.com (an e-commerce business). There he was responsible for establishing the distribution network and creating a successful sales team. Previous to this Brigden headed up sales forces for British Airways’ Air Miles, selling Air Miles as incentive schemes. Brigden also worked in sales at Uniphoto and Haymarket Consumer Publications.
David Harrison managing director at WSPS said: “It is fantastic to have Jim on board, his experience in developing profitable sales teams combined with his passion and knowledge of the search industry will be a valuable asset in driving our plans for growth into Europe.”
WSPS provides a service that allows businesses to ensure inclusion within the top three search results for selected and relevant ‘searched for’ keywords by using its automated bid management tool BidBuddy.
