Threadwatch a Search Engine Marketing SEM news site has recently launched, it follows all the SEO/SEM forums and provides commentary on the best of the forum threads out there in a tabloidesque style.
Run by a leading figure in the search engine marketing world, the site provides a very informative commentary to its readers, with both the best forum threads from a technical perspective and the worst from the point of view of industry leaders making fools of themselves being selected for inclusion. A full background can be found here in the Threadwatch Introduction
Within the first week of its existence it has picked up a readership including many of the said top industry professionals and some of the threads higlighted are gems of real information, which is enlightening for an industry where most of the best information is kept under wraps.
The tabloid style journalism makes usually dull professional information lively, although it may be considered just a little offbeat for some tastes. The headlines don't quite get to the class of the infamous 'Freddie Starr ate my hamster' and aren't quite as ridiculous as 'London Bus found on the moon' but they aren't far off.
As well as providing information the site invites (or should we say welcomes) comments from its readers and it is nice to see that many of the people who have been made to look silly in a highlighted forum thread, often come to post about it on Threadwatch.
All in all well worth a read if you have any interest in search engine marketing.
