Captec Launches 1U-Servers.co.uk Ecommerce Site

Captec the Southampton based infrastructure hardware company have branched out into mainstream server production with their new ecommerce site 1u-servers.co.uk offering a range of reasonably priced 1U rack mount servers.

Captec systems are built to order, backed by a technical advisory service to ensure that customers are offered the right solution to meet their needs. As an independent systems integrator they aim to supply customers with what they need rather than what a specific manufacturer has to offer.

From very low spec entry level servers, which almost anyone could afford to high spec professional hosting solutions, Captec have begun to make a name for themselves in the marketplace as an cheap alternative to big brand servers.

"Every system out of our production line is subjected to a 24 hour burn-in soak test. This thoroughly tests all component parts of the system as well as cyclicly exercises all functional parts multiple times. The burn-in test ensures that any early failures are detected and that all systems shipped to our customers are fully functional. A detailed test report is provided with every system to guarantee the complete test and burn-in." said John Warby head of the 1U Servers project.

With a background in industrial computers and embedded PC's and network communication systems, Captec have a solid grounding in build to order systems and this new offering comes as no surprise from a company with innovative ideas.
